An opportunity to play your part
As Centrica’s SAP Functional Lead for Inventory & Forecasting, you will lead the functional design and implementation of cutting‑edge SAP planning and inventory optimisation capabilities, placing you at the heart of transforming supply chain operations. You will champion excellence across planning processes, ensuring data integrity and seamless collaboration with ERP/MDG and warehousing stakeholders, as well as our implementation partner. All this within an agile, product‑led environment that thrives on automation, innovative data and AI‑driven insights, and a culture of ongoing improvement, ensuring every solution is not just resilient and auditable, but delivers real, measurable business value.

The Day to Day
* You will own the design and enablement of forecasting and planning processes, partnering with operational SMEs to ensure the right replenishment policies and improve stability and service levels.
* You will define master data requirements for planning and inventory, establishing essential attributes, hierarchies, validation rules, and thresholds, and work closely with ERP/MDG owners to implement workflows and controls that guarantee reliable and auditable planning outputs.
* You will implement and govern controlled knowledge management within DMS, setting information architecture, role‑based access, versioning, and lifecycle controls to ensure compliant, auditable documentation.
* You will integrate and harmonise planning across MM, SD, FI/CO, EWM, and execution systems, publishing outputs to operations and maintaining unified data hierarchies for end‑to‑end flow and a single source of truth.
* You will define and track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, MAPE, plan adherence, and data quality indices, linking them to value metrics to evidence benefits, guide iteration, enforce compliance and change control.
What we need from you
* Significant experience in supply chain planning and forecasting, delivering measurable business outcomes.
* Expertise in SAP planning tools (IBP, APO, PPDS), with proven end‑to‑end delivery from design through to cutover and hyper‑care.
* Strong ability to define and implement master data requirements, hierarchies, validation rules, and quality thresholds; effective collaboration with ERP/MDG owners and operations stakeholders.
* Skilled in cross‑module integration (MM, SD, FI/CO, EWM), harmonising data hierarchies, and managing data migration and cleansing.
* Experience in developing and executing test strategies (SIT/UAT), managing defects, change/transport processes, compliance, and records management.
* Proven track record in identifying automation opportunities and leveraging AI for process improvement, while ensuring appropriate human oversight; excellent facilitation and communication skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
