An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Officer to join our experienced and successful development team.
The successful candidate will work within the Land Team division of the UK development team supporting the establishment and smooth running of all site prospection related activities. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the identification and early-stage progression of renewable energy projects within the UK although careful consideration will be given to individuals with a proven track record in a similar role within the housing sector or Business Development and/or Account Management roles looking to diversify into the renewable energy sector.
1. Identification and appraisal of land for the development of renewable energy projects throughout the UK
2. Negotiation of Exclusivity Agreements and Heads of Terms
3. Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and business contacts (including but not limited to landowners, land agents, Electricity Network operators, specialist energy and planning consultants, external legal service providers)
4. Completing early development activities relating to the qualification of the prospection and opportunity portfolio
5. Completion of early-stage development budgets and simplified financial models to support the projects business case
6. Internal reporting
7. Create and maintain new GIS databases with new data creation and data import;
8. Geospatial data management;
9. Provide mapping support to the development in activities covering site origination, development and delivery phases;
10. Development of automated processes and bespoke tools;
11. Identify, develop and implement business best practices;
12. Maintain and promote values, strength and reputation of company and its business lines in markets of responsibility.
13. Representing Voltalia at industry related events as required
14. Any other development related activities
REQUIREMENTS
15. At least 3 years’ experience in land acquisition, Business Development and/or Account Management.
16. Fluent in English
17. Driving license with the flexibility to travel frequently throughout the UK
18. GIS Proficiency is essential for this role
