Job Description:
Clean Energy Construction Lawyer
Bristol, UK
Step into high-impact Clean Energy work without needing sector experience.
You’ll work directly with three partners who are true experts in construction law within the energy sector — giving you exposure to complex, high-value projects from day one.
Whether you're already doing clean energy work or keen to break into it, this is your chance to build deep sector expertise while shaping infrastructure that actually matters.
You’ll develop quickly, supported by structured mentorship and hands-on involvement in technically challenging matters — everything from solar and battery developments to major EPC and O&M contracts.
You won’t be stuck in a silo. You’ll join a team that values variety, gives you visibility with clients and actively invests in your long-term career.
What’s in it for you
Work that makes a difference – advise on projects that drive the UK’s clean energy transition. Mentorship from recognised partners – build deep knowledge in construction and energy law, with ongoing support and guidance. True variety – get stuck into battery, solar, engineering contracts, appointments, security documentation and more. Hybrid working and flexibility – based in Bristol with scope to shape your week around your life. A team that’s growing and investing in its people – your development is a core part of their strategy, not an afterthought.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll support clients across the clean energy construction lifecycle, from negotiating engineering contracts to advising on disputes. There’s an international flavour to much of the work, and a strong commercial focus throughout. The team is open, collaborative, and led by a partner whose mission is “to leave my career knowing I made a difference”. This is someone genuinely invested in mentoring the next generation of energy lawyers.
What you’ll need
Ideally 2+ years’ experience in construction, infrastructure, or projects A genuine interest in clean energy work (experience is welcome but not essential) A collaborative mindset and commercial thinking Ready to go green?
