Overview
Due to further company growth we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our expanding finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the accounts department by assisting with various credit control and accounting tasks. The ability to work to deadlines as part of a growing team is extremely important. This position requires accuracy and is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic, friendly and supportive work environment. 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities to include assistance with:-
* Weekly collation of subcontractor invoices for approval and payment
* Purchase Ledger Control including
* Loading of subcontractor invoices on to Accounting Software
* Collation of purchase invoices.
* Gain director approval on open invoices
* Upload purchase invoices to Accounting Software
* Issuing of statement(s) to relevant customers
* Issue reports to management team and directors as and when required
* Communicate with Customers and suppliers where required to ensure the accurate keeping of records
* General administrative duties
* Communicate with relevant members of staff in respect of information required to carry out all the above.
Requirements
Essential:
Commitment
A strong work ethic
Organisational skills and accuracy
Experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and accounting Software packages.
Advantage:
Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme and previous use of QuickBooks Accounting Software would be advantageous.
