Staffordshire County Council is looking for a role where you can make a real difference. Our aim is to support families to stay together safely and live well in communities. The role is part of newly transformed district teams with a hybrid work approach.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the SEND Locality Leads in carrying out the Local Authority’s SEND duties, including coordinating Education Health & Care (EHC) assessments.
* Produce EHC Plans and carry out annual reviews.
* Work closely with children and young people with special educational needs and disability, their families, and qualified professionals in education, health, and social care.
* Develop collaborative and respectful relationships, promote choice and independence and improve outcomes.
* Ensure education, health, and care plans comply with legal, regulatory, ethical, social requirements and policies, standards and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
This is a fast‑paced role that requires you to manage your own caseload independently and as part of a team.
Key Qualifications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of SEND legislation and the ability to reflect on practice and improve outcomes.
