About The Role
As a Senior Oncology Homecare Nurse, you will be working at the forefront of our services visiting patients in a community setting to deliver medical treatments such as IV infusions, TPN treatments and both intramuscular and sub cut injections whilst also training patients to administer their own medication. In addition, you will also take responsibility for coaching and mentoring members of the homecare team in alignment with their identified roles and objectives. You will strive to ensure care and services are delivered efficiently and effectively across the region and you will support the ongoing development of new and existing patient pathways to service.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced nurse with a valid NMC PIN with either a formal Oncology qualification, SACT passport or inhouse Oncology training to administer SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) cannulation and venepuncture competency and an experience of administering all routes of SACT.
As a Senior Oncology Homecare Nurse, you will display coaching and mentoring qualities, a relevant qualification in this space is desirable. You will display a high level of care and empathy to help our patients achieve their goals and regain their independence. You will be well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary, basic IT skills are required. In addition, you’ll be required to travel between patients throughout the day, so a full UK driving license is essential.
