Your typical day as a Buyer:
As a Buyer, you will be an integral part of the procurement team, supporting purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop your career in procurement, gaining hands-on experience in supply management, vendor relations, and contract negotiation.
You will ensure the optimization of company assets to satisfy customer and end-user requirements, maintaining suitable economic inventory levels. Leading procurement from approved suppliers and service providers, you will drive cost reduction initiatives and contribute to overall budget management.
What you'll already have:
* A degree or equivalent qualification is ideal.
* A proven track record of achieving results, preferably in supply chain, buying, or procurement environments.
* Strong communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
* Good knowledge of the procurement process, with negotiation and influencing skills.
* A full UK driving license, as travel to visit suppliers may be required.
* Experience with MRP-controlled production environments (desirable).
* Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with stock management systems is beneficial.
* A desire to develop your skills and learn about Supply Chain and other business areas.
