We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic SEN school in Cardiff. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering tailored support to students with various special educational needs. Provide one-on-one and small-group support during lessons and activities. Help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff. Assist in the preparation of classroom activities and resources. Encourage independence and confidence in students. The School: The school caters to children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN). Pupils are taught in small class sizes, usually not exceeding 10 students, with a high staff-to-student ratio, ensuring personalised support. The school is committed to providing a child-centred, empowering, and inclusive learning environment. Learning approaches include sensory activities, practical lessons, and structured individual development plans. What We’re Looking For: No formal qualifications required, but experience in a similar role or working with children is preferred. A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
