An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Horticultural Technician to join a well‑established interior landscaping business maintaining high‑quality planting schemes across commercial client sites in Belfast. This role is ideal for a horticulturist who enjoys plant care alongside regular client interaction and takes pride in maintaining displays to a consistently high standard.
You'll work independently across a portfolio of client sites, carrying out routine maintenance of interior (and some exterior) planting schemes, while building trusted, long‑term relationships with clients. This is a people‑facing maintenance role suited to someone confident in practical horticulture, plant health, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain interior planting displays to a high professional standard
Diagnose plant health issues and implement appropriate solutions
Carry out scheduled maintenance visits across multiple client sites
Visit typically 2-8 sites per day on 2-3 weekly maintenance cycles
Communicate professionally and confidently with clients on site
Complete site reports and maintain accurate service records
Manage time effectively across a set maintenance route
Work safely at all times, following risk assessments and method statements
Liaise with line management to ensure service standards are consistently met
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in horticultural maintenance or plant care
Strong horticultural knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for plants
Customer‑facing experience and confidence dealing with clients
Reliable, professional, and well‑presented at all times
Able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
Comfortable navigating large commercial buildings and varied environments
Physically able to carry out plant maintenance tasks, including use of step ladders and watering equipment
Horticultural qualifications are advantageous but not essential
Driving licence beneficial, though not essential for centrally based candidates
