About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Systems Administrator to support, maintain and develop the schools IT systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure and reliable, while acting as a senior technical escalation point within the IT team. Key responsibilities * Manage, maintain and monitor core IT systems to ensure availability, performance and security * Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and other network services * Support and develop server, virtualisation and backup environments * Act as a third-line escalation point for complex technical issues * Lead system upgrades, improvements and small-scale IT projects * Perform routine system checks, updates, patching and vulnerability reviews * Create and maintain technical documentation Key Requirements * Proven experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role * Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory * Experience with virtualisation, backup solutions and network infrastructure * Familiarity with firewalls, security best practices and system monitoring * Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions In Return You will join a well established IT department who work collaboratively, with excellent CPD opportunities.
