Role Summary
We’re recruiting an electrician based out of our Basingstoke office, primarily covering Aldershot and the surrounding area. This is a full‑time, permanent position (39 hours per week) that includes participation on the emergency on‑call rota. You will need to live close enough to respond to out‑of‑hour emergencies promptly.
As an electrician, you’ll carry out electrical repairs and installations for our domestic and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with current IEE Electrical Regulations and high Health & Safety standards. You’ll fault‑find on circuits, carry out electrical testing, and sometimes conduct P.A.T testing.
Qualifications
* Electrical Installation:
o NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification + AM2
o City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2
o City and Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 (from Sept 2011)
o City and Guilds 2365 Levels 2 and 3 + AM2
o City and Guilds 2357 + including AM2
o Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification 2346 + AM2E
o Other industry‑recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
* Inspection & Testing:
o City & Guilds 2391‑95: Inspection and Testing – Periodic Inspection/Testing of Existing Systems, or an equivalent recognised qualification
o City & Guilds 2394/95
o Other industry‑recognised Level 3 qualification in Initial Verification and Periodic Testing
* Wiring Regulations:
o City & Guilds 2382‑18/20, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – commitment to achieving Amendment Four (April 2026)
Additional Requirements
You must be capable of:
* Working at heights
* Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
* Maintaining a high degree of mobility, including walking, lifting, loading and unloading vehicles
A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed to drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS checks.
