Job Summary
Working with a growing SME in North Bristol you will play a key role in customer service for the sales and business development teams. You will support the team of Business Account Managers, including external consultants, covering everything from answering telephone calls, emails, raising and checking quotations and processing orders. You will support the business by delivering great customer service from enquiry through quotation and order receipt while building strong relationships with internal and externals teams, customers and suppliers.
Some of the responsibilities of your role will include:
· Serve as the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, ensuring professional and effective communication
· Liaise with customers and suppliers to facilitate smooth and timely quotation and order processes
· Prepare, price, review and validate sales quotations to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Process and manage sales orders efficiently
· Maintain and monitor renewal schedules and quotation pipeline to support ongoing customer needs
· Review and qualify incoming customer enquiries, escalating to Account Managers where appropriate
· Update and maintain CRM databases and other internal systems to ensure data integrity
· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives
· Foster strong relationships across internal departments to ensure collaborative workflow
· Build, support and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships for effective service delivery
· Work to tight timescales and deadlines with attention to detail
· Support the business with ad-hoc administrative or operational tasks as required
About you
· Prior experience of working with customers in a similar role would be beneficial
· Strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues independently
· High level of attention to detail, ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently the first time
· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook), with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
· Well-organised with the ability to manage a busy workload, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines both independently and within a team environment
· Prior experience in a customer-focused or similar administrative role is highly desirable
· Full UK driving licence preferrable for occasional travel to client sites
