Design Engineer
Location: Farnborough
We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join the team at our Farnborough site. Reporting to the Technical Principal Engineer, you will undertake all required design tasks for new product development.

Your Dream Role:
* An exciting opportunity to join our NPD Engineering team as a Design Engineer
* Contribute to the design, development, testing and on-time delivery or new and existing products through product lifecycles
* Prepare, produce, and modify design schemes, calculations, specifications, detail drawings, and BOMs to the relevant quality and safety standards.
* Ensure common designs, interfaces, and principles are applied consistently across all vehicle platforms and territories.
* Our customers mean a lot to us. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through safe, reliable, and well supported implementations.
* Partner with stakeholders internally and externally on technical issues and requirements.
* Arrange and co-ordinate activities with internal and external partners or suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets for each project.
* Opportunities like this don’t come along often – you will have exposure to a wide range of projects and senior stakeholders globally.
What you will bring:
* You’ll hold a HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a similar role within the Automotive industry.
* You will have an active interest in vehicle-based technologies and have a good understanding of vehicle design and a working knowledge of 3D CAD.
* You have an understanding of design for manufacture processes.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority, internally and externally.
* Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure, be able to multi-task and deliver projects on time.
* Generally, someone who is approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
* A willingness to travel between UK Sites as required.
