Job title: Junior Re-insurance Technician
Salary: up to £45,000
Location: London – Hybrid
OVERVIEW
We are working with a Key client of ours who are seeking a Reinsurance Technician to join their team in the City of London. Our clients are considering candidates from any line of business as long as they have an understanding of the Reinsurance market.
This role involves technical processing, including broker support, processing of Proportional and Non-Proportional accounts, Excess of Loss, and Claims Processing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment within the reinsurance industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Engage in conversations with clients and carriers on a technical level.
2. Work independently, manage priorities, and support team colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
4. Identify client’s individual requirements and collaborate to achieve the best possible outcomes.
5. Participate in client and reinsurer meetings as required.
6. Conduct multi-disciplined technical processing, including Premium, Pro rata, and Excess of Loss claims.
7. Provide broker support, debroke, risk sign down, and prepare and maintain account statistics.
8. Negotiate claims from initial notice through to settlement and closure, covering complex claims across all classes of business.
9. Demonstrate a high level understanding of Letter of Credit and complete adjustments proactively.
EXPERIENCE
1. 1-2 years (re)insurance experience.
2. Ability to build and maintain good business relationships.
3. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
5. Proven problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft products or similar software applications.
