Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Relief) to join our team on a flexible basis. In this important role, you will provide high-quality care and early years education to children, ensuring their well‑being, development, and safety during your shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development.
* Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, play, and rest periods.
* Observe and assess children’s progress, contributing to planning and development records.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
* Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to ensure smooth operation and consistent care.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about children’s activities and well‑being.
* Be flexible and adaptable to cover shifts as required, including short notice relief work.
Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
* Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role.
* Strong understanding of child development and early years frameworks.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to various shifts and settings.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children.
* Valid DBS check and right to work in the UK.
