Overview
This is an opportunity to join the LibraryPlus team, delivering a wide range of services within library community spaces. You will use customer-facing skills to handle enquiries and tasks such as joining new borrowers, cash handling and local history enquiries, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
This role requires regular weekend working and flexibility to the service’s business needs, including the ability to travel to other locations as required. It is part-time, 4 hours every Saturday 10am – 2pm, and advertised on a pro-rata basis. The role will be based at Duston Library.
Responsibilities
* Assist customers with West Northants Council queries (e.g., Blue Badge and concessionary bus pass applications).
* Provide a wide range of services in LibraryPlus, including activities for communities, children and families, and support for digital learning and reading materials.
* Deliver excellent customer service and support volunteering opportunities in the library and wider community.
* Promote partnerships with local organisations to benefit library customers.
* Support customers to become digitally fluent and participate in a fast-paced, busy work environment.
