Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse with experience in Teenage & Young Adult (TYA) cancer to help shape the future of cancer services for young people across the East of England (EoE).
Role Summary
The Children’s and TYA Cancer (CTYAc) Operational Delivery Network (ODN) is seeking a senior team member to support the Network in delivering the NHSE service specifications for TYA cancer as a Clinical Engagement Lead.
The post holder will work closely with the Children’s cancer ODN Lead nurse and will be part of the CTYAc ODN senior leadership team, collaborating with the Teenage Cancer Trust Lead TYA Nurse, the ODN Children’s Lead Nurse, nurses and AHPs at hospitals across the region.
This fixed‑term or second‑term role involves leading on improving pathways of care for TYA patients affected by cancer across the East of England, working with patients, commissioners, regional providers, stakeholders and clinical networks to ensure high‑quality, equitable and sustainable care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Network in delivering the NHSE service specifications for TYA cancer.
* Work collaboratively with the Children’s cancer ODN Lead nurse, the Teenage Cancer Trust Lead TYA Nurse, the ODN Children’s Lead Nurse and local clinicians.
* Lead on patient engagement activities, ensuring the patient voice is central to service improvement work.
* Represent the network as part of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and service development.
* Ensure access to high‑quality, equitable and sustainable care for young people with cancer across the East of England.
* Engage meaningfully with local teams across the region as a credible expert within TYA cancer.
* Communicate effectively, navigating challenging issues where they arise.
Qualifications and Experience

Work Information

This vacancy will close at midnight on 23 October 2025. Internally, permanent contract holders can apply for this post as a secondment with manager approval; fixed‑term contractors are also eligible.
