Your new role
You will lead the strategic management of the housing revenue account assets, ensuring effective maintenance,pliance, and enhancement of housing stock. This role involves developing and implementing asset management strategies, managing budgets, and adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
1. Strategic Leadership - you will develop and implement the asset management strategy for HRA housing stock, ensuring that this strategy aligns with economic, environmental, and service quality objectives.
2. Data Management - you will oversee the collection and management of stock condition data, ensuring data accuracy and regular updates to inform decision-making.
3. Budget Management - you will manage the HRA budget, including both capital and revenue expenditure.
4. Procurement - You will lead the procurement of strategic service contracts and frameworks, managing relationships with contractors and consultants.
5. Stakeholder Engagement - You will engage with residents, stakeholders, and members to ensure that the strategy meets their needs and expectations.
6. Team Management - Over time, you will be involved in the leadership and development of an asset management team, ensuring that they are well trained, and motivated.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Chartered member of RICS or an equivalent professional body.
8. Proven experience in asset management within social housing, and ideally localernment.
9. Experience in developing and implementing asset management strategies.
10. Strong background in budget management and financial planning.
11. Knowledge ofpliance and safety standards in housing.
12. Excellent data management skills.
13. Effectivemunication and stakeholder engagement skills.
14. Ability to manageplex programmes of work and projects, and to drive change.
15. Experience and evidence of successful collaboration and partnership working with contractors and stakeholders.
