Senior Primary Care Nurse
HMP Belmarsh – Thameside, London – a category A male, maximum security prison with a capacity of 910 inmates. The healthcare team includes dentists, primary care, mental health, substance abuse and pharmacy services.
About the Role
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse you will lead a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service, prevent hospital admissions, and provide outstanding evidence‑based care to patients. You will play a key role in medication rounds, controlled medication dispensing, emergency response, patient assessment, and reception screening.
Hours
* 7 days a week: 0700 – 1900
* 7 days a week: 1900 – 0700
Salary
Full time, annual salary up to £55,086 per annum FTE (dependent on experience).

Responsibilities
* Lead a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions

* Registered nurse – Adult
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
* Excellent communication skills

* Motivated as an individual and within a team
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is ideal but not essential.
