Role Summary

The Sophos Office of Strategic Programs (OSP) is a centralized, cross‑functional execution engine designed to turn company strategy into results by leading Sophos’ most critical, enterprise‑wide initiatives with clarity, speed, and accountability. OSP oversees programs that span three or more business units—such as M&A, product lifecycle management, commercial simplification, OKRs, and strategic partnerships—aligning stakeholders, translating executive goals into actionable plans, and driving disciplined, transparent execution. The team also facilitates key company meetings, manages strategic tools and partnerships, develops high‑impact executive materials, and serves as an unbiased connector across functions to ensure alignment, operational excellence, and measurable business impact.

We seek a detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager who is eager to learn and grow while managing cross‑functional projects spanning product and service delivery, partner initiatives, and internal process improvements. This role supports key project activities across the project lifecycle—developing and maintaining plans, schedules, documentation, and communications—while partnering closely with Project/Program Managers to keep work moving forward. You’ll work with internal (and occasionally external) stakeholders, proactively track actions and dependencies, surface risks and issues early, and help ensure on‑time delivery through disciplined coordination and follow‑through.

What You Will Do

* Manage project planning by maintaining project schedules, work plans, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and action item trackers.
* Manage projects, including related meetings, agendas, invites, minutes/notes, and ensure timely follow‑up on decisions and assigned actions.
* Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and organize project requirements and success criteria; help ensure scope changes are captured and communicated.
* Track milestones and deliverables; raise risks/issues early and elevate blockers to the Project/Program Manager with recommended next steps.
* Prepare status reporting by preparing weekly updates and basic dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
* Coordinate resources by tracking capacity and onboarding needs and partnering with resource managers as needed.
* Responsible for project documentation (charters, stakeholder lists, communications, change logs) and ensure files are organized and current.
* Manage vendor and cross‑team coordination by tracking requests, timelines, and open questions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and proposing practical improvements to templates, rituals, and reporting.

What You Will Bring

* Innovative and creative thinking.
* 2‑3 years of Program/Project Management experience.
* 2‑3 years of Product/Services Delivery from concept to launch.
* Experience in Program/Product/Project management methodologies (like Agile, SCRUM, SDLC/Waterfall, etc.).
* Strong motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
* Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
* Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
* Excellent coordination and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
* Self‑motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
* Tools: Microsoft Copilot, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable
* Experience with the application of Generative AI and Agentic AI to the project management process and preferably development of your own AI agents or automation of processes.
* Advanced ability to lead multiple large project teams.
* Experience working on programs/projects related to business strategy and financial performance.
* Experience communicating with senior executives.
* Experience with development methodologies (CMMI, Agile, etc).
* 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity space with intermediate knowledge of offerings.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* PMP Certification.
* Tools: Project management tools, OKR management tools.
