This involves a varied programme of sizable projects in wastewater treatment, clean water production, and infrastructure (Water and Wastewater networks).As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities. Working primarily in the UK water market, the company provides feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services to ensure water flows and wastewater is treated. You'll work on projects that make a real difference, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.You will play a pivotal role in shaping the mechanical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects.The role of a Principal Mechanical Engineer includes:Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of mechanical engineering aspects of projects.Provide technical expertise and guidance to mechanical engineers and project teams.Mentor and develop junior engineers and team members.Develop mechanical designs for water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including P&IDs, valve schedules, pumps, tanks, process equipment, above-ground pipework, lifting, and access steelwork.Coordinate with the wider design team of Electrical, Civil, Geotechnical, and Process engineers.Work closely with project teams to ensure application of client asset standards and engage in technical discussions on best practices and standards waivers.Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions throughout design, construction, and beyond.Engage positively with clients, managing relationships and supporting their aims with a one-team approach.What you'll need:Significant experience in the Water SectorChartered Mechanical Engineer or aboveDegree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and standards related to process industriesExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlinesNote: The phrase "Share" appears incomplete; consider clarifying or removing it.Manage this roleMatchtech is a STEM Recruitment Specialist, with over 40 years’ experience
