We’re looking for someone to join our Group Protection Underwriting team – a close-knit group that supports our customers with life, income protection, and critical illness cover. You’ll be helping intermediaries and policyholders by assessing risk and pricing schemes fairly and accurately. This role is all about delivering great service, making confident decisions, and working closely with teams across Aviva. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our customers feel supported and protected.
A bit about the job:
* Underwriting and issuing quotations for Group Life, Income Protection, and Critical Illness policies.
* Making decisions aligned with our underwriting philosophy and within your authority limits.
* Confirming risk and enrolling new schemes, ensuring smooth handovers to Operations.
* Resolving queries and supporting customers and colleagues with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Developing your technical and behavioural skills as you progress through our frameworks.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* A keen eye for detail and an analytical mindset.
* Comfortable using Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
* Motivated to deliver a great experience for every customer.
* Able to plan and adapt to changing priorities.
* Group Protection knowledge is a bonus, but not essential.

* Salary: £25,100 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
