Beaumont College offers small class sizes and high ratios of support workers to underpin personalized learning opportunities. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including behaviour specialists, nurses, assistive technologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
Our learning support roles are term-time only, with opportunities for training as a teacher and in multidisciplinary team working.

Job Responsibilities

* Planning and delivering a differentiated, person-centered curriculum aligned with individual education outcomes.
* Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure equitable opportunities for learners to develop skills for adulthood.
* Planning learning activities that support measurable progress and achievement.
* Recording progress and achievements through targeted documentation and report writing, evidencing progress against EHCP outcomes.
* Providing high-quality learning experiences in creative and functional subjects for learners with complex needs.
* Identifying and eliminating barriers to learning by applying support plans and protocols.
* Setting and reviewing SMART goals for each learner.
* Measuring and recording progress, maintaining a high-quality evidence base.
* Aligning knowledge and skills within learning pathways to organizational values.
* Delivering sessions that promote literacy skills, ensuring relevance to learners' needs.
* Completing risk assessments for curricular and extracurricular activities.
* Working collaboratively to embed therapeutic opportunities and assistive technologies.
* Managing classroom behavior and deploying support staff effectively.
* Planning and preparing educational activities and visits, ensuring safety and compliance.
* Ensuring staff have the necessary resources and information for effective support.
* Providing personal tutor support to a caseload of students.
* Participating in training and quality improvement activities.
* Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Reporting safeguarding, health, safety, and behavioral concerns promptly.
* Maintaining a safe environment and responding to safety breaches.
* Securing relevant data in accordance with Data Protection policies.
* Undertaking other duties as assigned by college leadership.
