Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising both hand tools and power tools to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will interact with clients to understand their vehicle issues and provide solutions.
Duties
* Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
* Utilise schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required.
* Conduct equipment repair and maintenance on workshop tools and machinery.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Assist with heavy lifting as needed during repairs or maintenance tasks.
* Provide exceptional customer service by clearly communicating repair needs and recommendations to clients.
Experience
* Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
* Familiarity with various automotive systems and components is essential.
* Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is highly desirable.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new skills quickly.
* Previous experience in customer service is an advantage, ensuring effective communication with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
