The successful candidate will be working 5 days per week, scheduled over a 6 day week, Monday to Saturday, working every other Saturday, except during the Christmas Eve through New Year shut down. The role will require strong horticultural and tree knowledge and involve you making recommendations for their selection and assisting our customers with their planting schemes. You will be involved with helping customers who visit the nursery and providing information by phone and email. Developing a good customer relationship is important along with excellent follow-through, and you will be preparing quotes and discussing how to achieve the best outcome for supply, delivery and planting in each case. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, good knowledge of trees and sound commercial awareness. We are looking for someone who is: Enthusiastic and driven Strong horticultural knowledge and especially tree knowledge and experience Strong initiative and experienced at cold calling Works well under pressure Works well in a team as well as independently Excellent communication face to face and over the phone, IT and admin skills with attention to detail is important with dedication to serving customers on the nursery, whatever the weather plus dedicated to excellent customer service. Excellent garden design skills and ability to read plans a big advantage.
