About the role
The main purpose of this position is to provide technical and administrative support for research teams who are investigating the neural mechanisms underlying navigation and memory, with a specific focus on the post-natal emergence of memory.
Key responsibilities include managing communal lab facilities, ordering supplies, maintaining all relevant scientific and financial records, ensuring compliance with research-related legislation and assisting with financial and HR-related administration.
The post-holder will also assist with experiments and the management of research projects, in collaboration with senior researchers within the group.
This role is an open-ended contract with a funding end date of 31/08/ in the first instance.
We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

About you
You will support research teams in the delivery of research funded by the Wellcome Trust and European Research Council. You will have the ability to ability to work effectively as part of a team, and have good time management and ability to prioritise tasks effectively. You will also have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task administrative and research duties.
You must have a relevant qualification ( or equivalent degree in in a relevant subject area such as psychology or neuroscience), understanding of neuroscience and experience of working in a laboratory environment in a relevant field.
