What you will do
* Undertake clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and treat patients accessing out‑of‑hours services.
* Deliver care across a variety of settings including patient homes, community hospitals, and urgent care centres.
* Work autonomously to manage urgent but non‑life‑threatening presentations.
* Collaborate closely with GPs, nursing teams, NHS 24, ambulance services, and wider MDTs.
* Contribute to clinical decision‑making including referral to secondary care and admission avoidance.
* Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with governance and quality standards.
* Participate in audits, service improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.
Requirements
* Degree in Paramedic Science or equivalent qualification.
* Post‑registration experience in urgent or emergency care.
* Ability to work independently in community or primary care settings.
* Strong clinical decision‑making and risk assessment skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Experience in GP out‑of‑hours, urgent care centres, or minor injury units.
* Advanced clinical assessment skills.
* Experience working in rural or remote healthcare environments.
