1. Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
2. Current MaineHealth employees advancing to an RN position may be eligible to receive an Up-Skill bonus; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
All new graduate RNs (less than 1 year RN experience) hired into regular status positions are automatically enrolled in our Residency program in conjunction with their unit-based employment.
Unit Bio:
MFT5 is a 40-bed cardiac telemetry unit seeking highly motivated RNs to join their team at Maine Medical Center. This fast-paced diagnostic and procedural unit cares for a complex cardiac patient population including NSTEMI, AFIB, Unstable Angina, Advanced Heart Failure, and LVADs.

Summary:
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings, in accordance with standards and policies.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
2. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Maine.
3. Experience not required; cardiac experience preferred.
4. Basic knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and research.
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Analytical skills to identify patient condition changes and initiate appropriate actions.
7. All new graduate RNs (<6 months experience) are enrolled in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program. Consideration for exceptions may be made for RNs with more than 6 months RN experience transferring from another organization or participating in a formal orientation.
8. Eligible Clinical Nurse I candidates meeting criteria at 12-month evaluation will be promoted to Clinical Nurse II.
