Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
* Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Supporting individuals with their care plans and ensuring their needs are met according to prescribed routines
* Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being
* Assisting with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
* Supporting the organisation of activities and social engagement programmes
* Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies
* Driving between care home or client locations when required (must hold a valid driving licence)
* Communicating effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Skills
* Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
* Strong organisational skills to manage care plans and documentation accurately
* Basic IT proficiency for record keeping and reporting purposes
* Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
* Driving ability is desirable for home care roles requiring travel between locations
* Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is advantageous but not essential
