The Opportunity
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be an integral part of the team providing overnight support and a nurturing environment for children and young people with complex mental health needs. This role offers the chance to support individuals as they transition from Tier 4 CAMHS units, no longer requiring inpatient services but still benefiting from a therapeutic setting before returning home.
Hours: Typically 10:00 PM - 8:15 AM (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off)
Location: While your primary base will be the new Mental Health Residential Home in Coalville, flexibility is key. You may be required to travel to and support other residential services throughout Leicestershire until the new home is fully operational, and as needed throughout your employment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Building trust and developing nurturing relationships that promote independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities of the young people.
* Collaborating effectively with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Contributing to the day-to-day upkeep of the home, including light domestic duties.
* Accurately documenting information and ensuring all records are up to date.
* Adhering strictly to safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Promoting, monitoring, and maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this vital role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
* A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
* You must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR be committed to achieving this qualification within a specified timeframe.
* Proven relevant experience working with children and young people in a children's home setting.
* The flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
