You will adapt existing designs, incorporate novel solutions, and propose new concept designs to meet customer needs across a range of challenging environments. You will take ownership of your work and be proactive in proposing and delivering appropriate solutions, demonstrating an ability to manage your workload effectively to meet project goals. You will have an eye for detail and develop broad and deep knowledge to work effectively with complex systems. You will work on products from the concept stage through to volume production. You will have the opportunity to work with and be supported by our highly talented Technology and Manufacturing teams. You will be given both specific and long-term goals within the project or projects you are working on. The role will evolve based on your skills, aptitudes, and professional development direction, as well as its alignment with customer projects and other business needs.
Training will be provided across the range of engineering activities undertaken by the electronics team to make sure you can deliver the work you asked of you. There will be opportunities for you to work with a range of highly competent and experienced engineers across the organisation. We pride ourselves on an environment that encourages the development of our team members, and you will be challenged to take on and deliver work which requires you to apply these skills as you develop them. Those around you will support you through this work through peer support, one‑on‑one time with your manager and technical leaders, regular knowledge‑sharing sessions, as well as a formal design review process, which you will be expected to contribute to as both a reviewer and presenter.
You will be expected to develop and apply skills and knowledge in a diverse range of disciplines relating to electronics, including:
 * Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
 * PCB assembly and rework as required for prototyping.
 * Circuit, PCBA, and product‑level testing using lab equipment and bespoke test equipment.
 * Development and test of embedded software using modern C++, including hardware abstraction, automated build and test systems and CI/CD workflows using GitHub.
 * Simulation, design, and application of control systems for high‑performance dynamic systems, their implementation in embedded software and testing and tuning in the real world.
 * Electrical system design, including test rigs.
 * Scripting and software development in Python.
If you’re an ambitious engineer who thrives on pushing the limits of technology and wants to make a real impact with a fast‑growing company, this is your chance. Join us and be a key player in revolutionising motion control.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Design, prototyping and testing of electronic circuits and assemblies for existing and new products.
 * Design, implementation, and maintenance of the embedded software components of our products.
 * Be an active contributor to the development, implementation, and maintenance of software tools to assist our product development processes including e.g. CI/CD pipelines.
 * Design, test and maintenance of electronic hardware and software products which provide production and development testing of Domin’s products.
 * Supporting product validation & production teams in identifying & investigation of faults and proposing solutions for existing and new products.
 * Take part in peer review processes to ensure the quality of the department’s work is maintained.
 * Due to graduate with a degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related subject with a 2:1 or First‑Class degree.
 * A passion for engineering and its application to solve problems in the real world.
 * Excellent written and oral communication skills.
 * Able to work individually and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to meet project goals and to solve problems inside and outside their area of expertise.
 * Motivated and professional personality.
