We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time School Cleaner to join our Facilities Team at Overton School.
About the Role
You’ll help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming, ensuring the environment is ready for learning every day. You’ll be part of a supportive team while also able to work independently when needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out daily cleaning tasks and occasional ad-hoc duties
2. Clean surfaces, fixtures, fittings, floors, walls, and internal woodwork according to the cleaning schedule
3. Maintain cleanliness of toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas
4. Complete deep-cleaning programmes during school closure periods
5. Collect and dispose of waste appropriately
6. Restock and replace consumables as needed
7. Ensure cleaning supplies are stored securely and neatly
Who We’re Looking For
8. Clear communication skills and ability to follow instructions
9. Reliable team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
10. Someone who takes pride in their work and maintains high cleaning standards
11. Positive and proactive approach to contributing to a supportive school environment
12. Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar setting is desirable
