Were looking for a Financial Compliance & Reporting Accountant to join our friendly, high-performing finance team and play a key role in shaping the future of our reporting and compliance landscape.If youre passionate about pets, thrive in a fast-paced environment and want real ownership and visibility, this is your opportunity!About the RoleThe role offers hybrid working (two office days per week) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Compliance, you will:Lead and develop a team of 3 assistant accountantsOversee statutory reporting for 400+ joint venture practices (FRS 102) and group-managed entities (FRS 101)Review and prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and complianceManage audits for Vet Group subsidiaries and act as a key contact for external auditorsDrive technical accounting projects, including IFRS 16 implementationMaintain and evolve the Vet Business accounting manual and best practicesSupport audits, ONS reporting and ad-hoc finance initiativesAbout YouQualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA)Strong experience in financial reporting and statutory accountsSolid knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS (incl.
