The business prides itself on constantly improving its processes, investing in staff, and creating an environment where people can truly utilise and develop their full skill set. They are now seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their Head Office in Burnley. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a rewarding and stable organisation with strong values and long‑term career prospects.
Your new role
As the Accounts Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function within a busy but supportive team, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities over time. The role involves daily use of Sage Line 50, processing and managing supplier invoices, accurately coding and allocating costs, reconciling supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and preparing and processing supplier payments. You will also assist with month‑end procedures and financial reporting, work across multiplepanies within the group, handle ad‑hoc finance tasks as required, and occasionally support payroll on a weekly or monthly basis to provide holiday cover. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday, with an optional early Friday finish.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you will need at least two years’ experience in a similar finance position, with Sage Line 50 experience and progress toward AAT being desirable but not essential. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and demonstrate excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong organisational abilities, high attention to detail, and accuracy are essential, along with effective skills to meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Alongside joining a team that values development and progression, you’ll benefit from:
1. Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
2. Free on-site parking
3. Health & wellbeing programme
4. Early Friday finish
5. Supportive, friendly working environments
