Engineering Project Lead - Electrical Certification (H/F) - SAFRAN SEATS GB LIMITED
Mission description: To support the Electrical Engineering function to fulfil its design, certification and integration obligations. To develop effective electrical project plans, track progress, resolve problems, develop solutions and forecast test completion performance. Coordinate with Electrical Teams, Suppliers and Management to address project issues, gather and analyse data to support the development of solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meeting schedule commitments and optimising performance.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Supplier Management
* Project Deliverables: samples, documentation, prototypes, test articles
* Supplier Liaison between Engineering, Purchasing and Programme Teams to ensure Purchase Orders and Commercial Agreements are managed in a timely manner
* Coordinate with Engineering Project Leads to ensure resource demands are understood and agreed with the Electrical Head of Functions
* Ensure Electrical Activities are coordinated and correctly prioritised, including (but not limited to) supplier integration testing, breadboard development, MOC7, software development, qualification testing
* Implement risk mitigation within IPTs
* Maintain Level 3 Project Schedules and communicate status to Project Teams
* Coordinate Change Management activities within Electrical Teams, including attendance/presentation at Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and preparation of CCB forms
* Engage with Electrical Design Team, Electrical Certification Team, and Suppliers in Change Control
* Generate Key Performance Indicators for each Project (documentation performance, design maturity, testing performance, integration performance, MER Gate adherence and status)
Qualifications
* Qualification: Degree in an engineering/electronic/technology field, or an HNC/HND or equivalent in a related Engineering discipline with demonstrated experience
* Essential Experience: Typically more than 5 years in an Engineering Discipline or Technical Project Management role
* Essential Experience: Background in Electrical aspects of Engineering and understanding of basic principles
* Essential Experience: Previous experience managing multi-functional teams including in a remote working setting
* Desirable Knowledge: Understanding of financial management within a new product development environment
* Essential Knowledge: Recognised qualification in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP or PMQ)
