Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the business. This is a highly visible rolebining core financial accounting responsibilities with a strongmercial and operational focus.
Key duties will include:
1. Leading the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
2. Developing financial models to support scenario planning and decision-making
3. Supporting month-end close and management reporting
4. Overseeing product costing, including standard cost updates and margin analysis
5. Analysing production variances (labour, materials, waste) and partnering with operations to improve performance
6. Supporting pricing, new product development, andmercial decision-making
7. Providing oversight of the purchase ledger function and ensuringpliance with financial controls
8. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business
What you'll need to succeed
9. Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
10. Strong experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
11. Solid understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and operational finance
12. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
13. Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to tools such as Power BI
14. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
15. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
