Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Speech and Language Therapy assistant to join the team of Speech and Language therapists in Cambridgeshire. As a Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting qualified Speech and Language Therapists in delivering care to individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping others, especially adults with complex needs, and who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment. This role will be covering Huntingdon, Doddington and Wisbech area. You will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Post holder will be responsible for assisting the speech and language therapists in their clinical and administrative work.
* The post holder will be responsible for carrying out speech and language therapy programmes with adult patients with speech, language and swallowing difficulties under the supervision of a qualified speech and language therapist.
* The post holder may work on an individual/group basis.
* The programmes will be carried out at various locations including: community hospital, nursing/residential homes, patient\'s homes.
