About the Role:
We’re looking for a Talent Manager to lead and optimise our recruitment efforts while contributing to an outstanding employee experience. In this role, you will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across the company and partner with our HR team and senior leaders to attract and retain exceptional people. This is a strategic and hands-on position – perfect for an experienced recruitment professional seeking a role with flexibility in a dynamic buisness. You’ll focus on core talent acquisition duties and assist in key people initiatives to ensure our culture and processes scale effectively as we grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recruitment Leadership: Lead the full-cycle hiring process across all departments, from workforce planning and sourcing strategy to interviewing and onboarding. Ensure consistent, high-quality candidate experience and efficient time-to-hire. Partner with department heads to understand hiring needs and proactively build talent pipelines for current and future roles
* Employer Brand & Candidate Experience: Strengthen our employer brand within the region by promoting DUSK’s culture and values in job adverts, social media, and recruitment events. Drive improvements in candidate experience and diversity outcomes, helping DUSK stand out as an employer of choice
* Onboarding & Employee Journey: Work with HR to deliver a smooth, impactful onboarding programme that helps new starters settle in and succeed. Ensure key touchpoints in the employee journey (onboarding, probation, engagement surveys, exit interviews) are positive and well-coordinated
* Talent Projects Support: Collaborate on high-value talent initiatives. For example, contribute ideas and support for programs like early careers recruitment (graduates/apprentices) or internal mobility plans, working alongside our existing HR team. Assist in capturing and reporting on basic talent metrics (such as hiring metrics and turnover) to inform decision-making
* Culture & Collaboration: Champion our company values and a positive workplace culture in day-to-day interactions. Support leaders in reinforcing our values and recognition programmes. Act as a trusted adviser to managers on recruitment best practices and employee engagement within your available time
Skills & Experience:
We’re seeking a talent acquisition professional with the following:
* Proven recruitment experience: successfully managing end-to-end hiring in a fast-paced environment, ideally with some time in an in-house recruiter or talent partner role
* Stakeholder management skills: able to partner with hiring managers and senior leaders, understanding their team needs and providing credible advice
* Strategic mindset, hands-on approach: comfortable devising hiring strategies as well as executing the day-to-day recruitment activities. You can streamline processes and introduce best practices (e.g. competency-based interviewing, employer branding initiatives)
* People-focused and data-aware: you care about candidate and employee experience, and you use data (like hiring metrics or feedback) to spot trends and continuously improve
* Adaptability and communication: excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others and champion our culture. Able to balance priorities and projects within your schedule
What We Offer:
* Flexible working: Hybrid arrangements (blend of home and Leeds office) to promote work-life balance
* Holiday and Benefits: 25 days holiday per year (pro-rated) + bank holidays, Company Pension, Life Assurance, and a Bonus Scheme
* Growth & Culture: An opportunity to play a key role in a high-growth company. You’ll shape how we attract and retain talent and will join a supportive team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence
* Impactful Role: A chance to build and refine a talent function in a scaling business, with autonomy to propose improvements and the flexibility to do your best work on a full or part-time basis
