Bookkeeper Location: Little Eaton Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing business based in Little Eaton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid background in transactional finance to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining accurate financial records and company ledgers
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Completing bank reconciliations
* Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
* Processing expenses and assisting with payroll where required
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve queries
* Assisting the Finance Manager or Accountant with additional finance duties
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or Accounts role
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes
* Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar
* Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Desirable
* AAT qualified or currently studying (or equivalent experience)
* Experience working within a fast-paced finance environment
