Clinical work is at the level of a CT / ST1 depending on experience and your clinical responsibilities will be commensurate with this level of experience. Depending upon specialty you will also participate in an out-of-hour rota that will be remunerated appropriately in line with the 2016 Junior Doctors Contract. Routine work will include CT/ST1 required to cover a surgical rotation.
Main duties of the job
* Assessment and management of in-patients.
* Assessment and management of acute admissions.
* Attend ward rounds as timetabled.
* Attend multi-disciplinary ward meetings.
* Attend out-patients (where appropriate) and assist with in-patient management.
* Assessment of patients in the Emergency Department.
* Fulfil the duties of the weekly timetable including out of hours responsibilities.
* Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of clinical services.
* To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the patients within RCHT.
* To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
* To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
* To attend meetings as appropriate.

Qualifications
* MBBS or Equivalent
* GMC Registration and a Full license to practice
* Formal Teaching qualifications
Experience
* Completion of Fondation training or equivalence
* Previous NHS experience
* ALS provider or equivalent
* Experience in Clinical Governance and Audits
* Experience in the relevant specialities to application
* Experience in Simulation training
