Overview
The Clinical Services Division Directorate at St Bartholomew’s Hospital is looking to recruit a talented Technologist/Radiographer to join the leadership team as Operational Lead Technologist for Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The post is based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London (St. Paul’s) with cross-site working. Interview date: 3rd October 2025.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the safe and effective management of the day-to-day provision and operational coordination of Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT services, including governance compliance.
* Provide high-profile clinical specialist support to all Nuclear Medicine imaging, technologist staff, and the department.
* Act as a visible and motivating leader, contributing to the strategic direction of the Department and ensuring a responsive Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT service.
* Lead and manage staffing and resource issues in collaboration with site lead technologists and senior management; develop the service in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives.
* Engage with patients, staff and stakeholders to improve patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards through effective communication.
* Work with the Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Management Team to implement service developments and ensure safe and effective delivery of the service.
* Coordinate with departmental site leads on staffing levels and resource needs; oversee management of technologist staff and site leads.
* Consult key stakeholders and reinforce organisational expectations through collaborative and dynamic management.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Credible, visible leadership with the ability to act as a role model for safe and effective service delivery.
* Experience in Nuclear Medicine imaging and PET-CT management is desirable.
* Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and drive service development aligned with Trust objectives and commissioners’ requirements.
* Commitment to improving patient experience and staff satisfaction within a high-demand clinical service.
