Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. With campuses in East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow, and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) in Canning Town, we serve over 11,000 students across a range of pathways including 1618 study, adulteducation, apprenticeships, and higher education.

The role:
We are seeking an inspiring and committedLecturer in Health and Social Careto join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across our Health and Social Care programmes (BTEC Levels 15), supporting learners in achieving their full potential.
You will play a key role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, acting as a positive role model and helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed for further study or employment in the sector.
Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Relevant qualifications and/or industry experience in Health and Social Care.
A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
A strong commitment to inclusive education and supporting learners to succeed.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education all employment offers are subject employment checks. These include (some of which are dependent on the role and the individual): Enhanced DBS including Childrens Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects its staff to share this commitment. You will be required to become familiar with the College's policies, and comply with the requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults.All staff are asked to complete mandatory training in relation to KCSIE and other key areas, and to read the relevant policies.

The salary for this position is inclusive of London weighting. Please note that it is Newham Colleges policy to offer all roles at the entry point of the salary scale advertised. However, based on your qualifications and experience, we may offer a higher starting salary within the specified salary range.
