Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Counsellor for Depression (CfD). As a practitioner you will play a crucial role in our Step 3 team providing first-class mental health care to the Calderdale population. Job Description
Job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Counsellor for Depression (CfD). As a practitioner you will play a crucial role in our Step 3 team providing first-class mental health care to the Calderdale population. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your skills and develop your career in a fast-growing organisation.

* You will deliver Counselling for Depression via multiple channels including telephone, secure video link and Face to Face.
* You will need to be confident in managing a case load whilst delivering a service. This will include structured assessments, provision of instant emotional support, clinical decision-making and a focus on positive and suitable clinical outcomes.
* Willingness to cover duty, training and support will be provided.
* You will be comfortable working with a service target of 20 attended clinical contacts per week, 7 completed treatments per month (pro-rata) and reliable recovery of 48%.
* You will be resilient and able to manage your wellbeing, whilst achieving these targets.
* Weekly supervision is offered.
* Alongside a good track record in a similar role, you should possess a recognised CfD qualification, or be willing to train within the model.
* Hold BACP/UKCP accreditation (or eligibility to apply), and a willingness to develop yourself further within the CfD model.
* Support, training and developmental opportunities are available for the right candidate.

*Essential
Your skills and background:*

* Accredited by a recognised professional Counselling body e.g. BACP, UKCP, or eligible to apply for accreditation
* Counselling for Depression (CFD) qualification from a recognised Talking Therapies CFD training provider.
* Experience of delivering CFD within a mental health service

Desirable

* Experience of providing counselling within a Talking Therapies service.
