As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of electrical and mechanical systems at customer sites. You’ll work closely with customers and colleagues to ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
This is a varied, hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and building positive relationships with customers.
1. Working safely and in line with company policies and site rules
2. Servicing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
3. Communicating clearly with customers and contractors throughout service visits
4. Participating in an on-call rota with fellow engineers
5. Providing technical support, training, and advice to customers
6. Accurately documenting service activities
7. Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and apprentices
8. Delivering excellent customer service and building strong working relationships
9. Ensuring work areas are left tidy and company vehicles are maintained to a high standard
To succeed, you will need

10. Level 3 qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
11. Full UK driving licence
12. Background in compressed air, commercial service, or a similar engineering environment
13. Strong attention to detail
14. Practical problem-solving skills
15. Enthusiastic and proactive approach
16. Organised with good time management
