GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a school in Ilkeston. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality physical education lessons, support pupils’ development, and encourage participation in both curriculum and extracurricular sporting activities. Role Overview: As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage pupils to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and understanding of healthy lifestyles. You will play a key role in motivating pupils, building resilience, and fostering a positive sporting culture within the school. As a PE Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver PE lessons across a range of age groups and abilities. Promote participation in sport, teamwork, and resilience among pupils. Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback. Manage classroom and outdoor behaviour to ensure a safe learning environment. Support the wider PE curriculum and extracurricular sporting opportunities. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for PE Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Experience teaching PE across primary or secondary age groups. Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
