Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Care Assistant to provide exceptional care for pets. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness while in our care. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Duties
* Provide daily care for dog, including feeding, group play, and maintaining the cleanliness.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during including their day with us, monitoring for any signs of distress or illness.
* Maintain a clean environment by cleaning, Snooze stations, pet bedding, and feeding areas.
* Engage in playtime and exercise to keep pets active, stimulated by following an enrichment programme.
* Communicate regularly with pet owners regarding their pet's behaviour and health during their day.
* Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
* Perform heavy lifting when required, such as moving large pet supplies or assisting with larger animals.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in animal care settings is highly desirable.
* Canine welfare level 2 is highly desirable.
* Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their concerns.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for larger pets or supplies.
* A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various pet care needs, including weekends and holidays.
* Reliable transportation to travel between pet sitting locations.
