Job Title: Day Care Assistant / Day Carer
Location: Haywards Heath
Hours: 36 hours per week (Day Shifts)
Pay: From £12.40 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Day Carer to join our team at a friendly 45-bed residential home in Haywards Heath. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
* Support residents with mobility and safe transfers (using appropriate equipment where required)
* Assist with meal service and support residents with eating and drinking
* Promote dignity, independence, and choice at all times
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
* Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
* Maintain accurate care records and documentation
* Support residents in social activities and encourage engagement
* Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
About You
* Caring, patient, and compassionate nature
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility
* Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided)
* Willingness to complete relevant training and development
* Right to work in the UK
