Salary: £33,595 - £51,931 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience
Our Sixth Form centres offer education of the highest quality. We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to join the team to deliver high standards and enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability. Our colleges are part of the Welsh Government Seren Network scheme designed to support the most able to realise their full academic potential and progress to the best Universities.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the Pwllheli campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the Dolgellau campus on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. You will have the opportunity to work in a modern, well‑equipped environment where practical experimentation is at the heart of learning with the support of a dedicated technician.
Our ideal candidate would have previous teaching experience. However, we also welcome subject experts who are looking to take their first steps into teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high standards of teaching and learning and provide ongoing support, advice and guidance that promotes learner success. We would like to work with you to develop your professional skills in order to offer learners the best possible experience.
Consideration will be given to applications on a fractional 0.8108 basis
Key Expectations
* Teaching to a high standard in order to create effective learning opportunities and to enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability. Design and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students and foster a love for the subject.
* Provide excellent extracurricular experiences for learners, including leading exploratory trips and subject enrichment opportunities outside the classroom.
* Maintain high standards of provision with support for learners. Provide high‑quality feedback and interventions to ensure every student reaches or exceeds their target grade.
* Ensure that the Grwp’s policies and procedures are followed.
* Support learners to succeed in achieving their targets and higher, by stretching and challenging them.
Qualifications
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but subject experts with a willingness to learn teaching are also welcomed.

Working Pattern
37 hours per week.
835 hours annual teaching time – 24 to 26 hours teaching per week.
Up to 5 hours per week working off site in agreement with the manager.
