Walker & Sloan is proud to be working in partnership with a highly sought-after residential contractor in their search for an experienced Design Manager to lead a flagship project in Greenwich.
This is an immediate opportunity to join a thriving, design-led construction business, taking the reins on the delivery of a 144-bed high-rise apartment scheme. The role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high levels of autonomy and responsibility from day one.
The Role:
As Design Manager, you’ll be the design lead for the project, working closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure seamless design coordination from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. You will:
* Coordinate consultant and subcontractor design input
* Manage planning conditions and design compliance
* Lead design meetings and workshops
* Ensure technical excellence, value engineering, and buildability
* Work across disciplines to manage programme and quality milestones
What We’re Looking For:
* A proven Design Manager with experience delivering RC-frame residential schemes, ideally in London
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a high-rise environment
* Excellent communicator and collaborator, confident leading design strategy
* Available to start immediately or on short notice
