Salary: GBP42000 - GBP42000 per annum
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in keeping the busy production environment running smoothly. Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and technical support across a wide variety of plant, machinery, and site services. This is a hands on role in a fast paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly minimise downtime and support efficient, safe, and reliable production.
What You Will Do
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure all machinery and site services remain safe, reliable, and efficient.
* Diagnose faults quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practice within the Engineering team.
* Support and achieve departmental KPIs and operational targets.
* Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
* Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures, and permit‑to‑work systems.
Qualifications needed
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship, training or degree.
* Electrical engineering qualification.
* Experience with Siemens PLC software and programming.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally food.
* Strong mechanical problem solving skills.
* Knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements.
* Confident, proactive, with strong communication skills.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
* Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
* High attention to detail.
* Experience of SAP software would be beneficial, though not essential.

* Core hours will be 40 hours per week. The team shares shifts to ensure the factory is staffed between 06:00 – 22:00.
